You could receive up to £1,000 when you refer your friends and family. Details of this offer are outlined below.
1. The Charles Stanley Direct referral offer is available exclusively to those existing clients of Charles Stanley Direct who have personally been invited by Charles Stanley & Co. Limited (‘Charles Stanley’) to participate in the offer and their friends and family to whom they have referred the offer.
2. By participating in the offer, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The amount of Referral Reward you might receive is dependent upon the total value of eligible transfers as referred to below and is subject to these terms and conditions.
3. If you have any questions about the offer, your eligibility or any missing Referral Codes, please contact our Helpdesk by secure message from within the Charles Stanley Direct Investment Service platform or app, by emailing info@cs-d.co.uk or by calling 0131 550 1234.
4. This offer should only be sent by the referrer to people with whom they have an existing relationship such as friends and family and who consent to receiving this type of message.
5. Anyone referred must be over the age of 18, a resident of the UK and not already an existing client of Charles Stanley. Their application will be subject to our approval and the Charles Stanley Direct Investment Service Business Terms will apply.
6. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer and the highest value offer will be applied in case of eligibility to more than one promotional offer.
7. We will pay a Referral Reward between £100 and £1,000 to the referrer and between £300 and £1,500 to the friend or family member on the basis set out in the table in clause 11 below if, in accordance with these terms and conditions, the friend or family member has:
a) registered using a unique Referral Code which the referrer has obtained when logged into their account using the Charles Stanley Direct Investment Service platform or app and provided to them;
b) within three months from their date of registration, transferred in, or supplied valid transfer instructions for, cash and/or investments worth at least £20,000 to the Charles Stanley Direct Investment Service; and
c) continued to hold such cash and/or investments for a further nine months or cash and/or investments equivalent in value (except for market movements) to the amount of such cash and/or investments when originally transferred to or invested with us.
8. There is no limit to the number of referrals the referrer can make, each will be eligible for the offer independently of the others. However, only one Referral Reward will be paid for each referral and no retrospective payments will be made for any referral already rewarded under this offer.
9. The offer does not apply to:
a) any investments currently or previously held by you or your friend or family member with the Charles Stanley Direct Investment Service and/or Charles Stanley;
b) any movement of cash and/or investments from accounts already held with us; or
c) the performance of any cash and/or investments transferred to us.
10. We will pay any qualifying Referral Reward to the relevant person’s General Investment Account within 30 days of the end of the 12-month period mentioned in clause 7. If the referrer or friend and family member does not have a General Investment Account, the payment will only be made if one is opened online and within 30 days of being asked to do so.
11. The amount of Referral Reward payable is calculated as follows:

12. We cannot provide the friend or family member with any advice on whether transferring their cash and/or investments to us is right for them. If you are in any doubt whether or not a transfer is suitable for your circumstances, we recommend that you speak to an authorised financial adviser of your choice. It is important that you take time to decide whether to do a transfer and, before making your decision, check if you might need to pay any charges or exit fees to your current provider or if you could lose any valuable benefits or beneficial rates by transferring.
13. Charles Stanley reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any time without prior notice in cases of suspected abuse, fraud or violation of its rules and, if so withdrawn, we will not be obliged to pay any Referral Reward to the referrer or to the friend or family member.
14. This offer is subject to, and governed by, Charles Stanley Direct Investment Service Business Terms and the general law. If there is a conflict between (a) the terms of this offer; and (b) Charles Stanley Direct Investment Service Business Terms, the latter will prevail.
15. Charles Stanley reserves the right to change, terminate or withdraw this offer if necessary, including for legal or regulatory reasons, unexpected operational constraints or otherwise, by posting a notice on our website. If the offer closes, any Referral Codes already registered at the time of posting the notice will still be accepted and any qualifying Referral Reward paid in accordance with these terms and conditions.

17. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation, or by final determination of a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
18. The offer is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts or any court in the United Kingdom which is able to hear the case.
19. Charles Stanley & Co. Limited is the promoter of this offer. Charles Stanley & Co. Limited is responsible for the administration and conduct of this offer including, without limit, any variation and/or cancellation of the offer.
